Dr. Mikinski provides caring, culturally sensitive, collaborative, and strengths-based treatment. With foundations of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, Dr. Mikinski adapts her approach to best meet each Client's unique needs.
Licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, and available to provide tele-psychology services in PsyPact states, Tammy Coder Mikinski holds a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas and has advanced training in Couples Therapy, Child-centered Play Therapy, Family Therapy, Integrative Mental Health, and is EMDR-trained.
A Certified Gottman Couples Therapist, and member of the global Gottman Referral Network, Dr. Mikinski offers extensive experience with a wide range of common issues faced by diverse individuals, couples, and families.
Throughout her career, Dr. Mikinski has served as a therapist for college students (offering expertise in evaluating and treating both test and performance anxiety), she has been an instructor and mentor for Master’s and Doctoral students in Counseling and Psychology, and she has provided psychological evaluations for Ministerial candidates.
Dr. Mikinski maintains a vibrant clinical practice at Sastun Associates and has taught Counseling Psychology at the University of Kansas for the past 20 years.
